Understanding Earnings and Payouts
How earnings accumulate on your creator balance, when they are released, how flat-fee campaigns differ from CPM, and how to withdraw via bank transfer, mobile money, or crypto.
Two balances: Pending and Available
Your creator earnings page shows two balances:
- Pending: Earnings accumulated but still in the hold period. Not yet withdrawable.
- Available: Earnings released and ready to transfer to your main wallet.
CPM earnings vs. flat-rate earnings
Your earnings arrive differently depending on the campaign type:
CPM campaigns (TikTok, Instagram, X, YouTube, etc.)
Earnings accumulate gradually as views are tracked and verified. Each tracking cycle adds to your pending balance. The total earned depends on your final verified view count - higher views, higher earnings. It can take days or weeks for earnings to fully build if views keep growing.
Flat-rate campaigns (WhatsApp Status, Snapchat Spotlight, and some link-based campaigns)
Your earning is fixed upfront - you see it on the campaign card before you even reserve a slot. Once your slot is approved after the view-proof review, the flat fee is credited to your pending balance in one shot. It's simpler and more predictable.
Flat-rate campaigns are great for building consistent income: reserve a slot, post, submit your two-step proof, and you know exactly what arrives when it's approved.
When a flat-rate campaign is tiered
Some flat-rate campaigns pay a percentage of the flat fee based on your verified view count instead of always paying 100%. If a campaign uses tiers, your team-verified views at approval decide which tier you land on - the campaign's brief shows the exact thresholds. If your view count is disputed and later adjusted, your credited earnings are recalculated against the tier ladder too: you may receive a top-up if the adjustment moves you into a higher tier, or a small deduction from pending balance if it moves you into a lower one. Untiered flat-rate campaigns are never affected - you always get the full fee shown on the card.
Choosing where your earnings go
UGC settles internally in USD, but you decide where your available balance lands. From Creator Earnings, open Payout destination the first time you transfer (or anytime after) to choose:
- Keep in USD - moves to your USD wallet as-is.
- Convert to my currency - automatically exchanged into a local currency wallet (NGN, GHS, KES, and other supported currencies) using the live rate at the moment of transfer, minus a small platform exchange fee shown to you upfront before you confirm.
- Withdraw as crypto - lands in your USD wallet; withdraw as a stablecoin (USDT, USDC, and more) from the Crypto section.
You can always get your money out in your own local currency this way. Changing your destination later only affects transfers made after you save it.
When earnings move automatically
In the same screen, under Advanced, choose when your available balance moves to your chosen destination:
- Manual - you tap Transfer to wallet yourself, whenever you want.
- On release - moves automatically every time a new payout is released, no tapping needed.
- At my minimum - moves automatically once your available balance crosses the minimum withdrawal amount for your chosen currency.
Withdrawing
Add your withdrawal method before you need it, from Wallet → Withdraw:
- Bank transfer - add your bank account details. A new bank account goes through a one-time verification against your platform (KYC) name before it's approved for payouts, so use the exact name your bank has on file to avoid delays. Typed the wrong name? You can correct it anytime from that bank account's entry - it's simply re-checked, and it never blocks you from still using the account while under review.
- Mobile money - available in select African markets (MTN MoMo, Airtel Money, and others).
- Crypto - withdraw as USDT, USDC, or other supported stablecoins for creators who prefer digital assets.
- International - international payout for diaspora creators (where available).
Once a method is added, tap Withdraw from Wallet and choose it - approved methods show up instantly.
Minimum withdrawal
There is a minimum withdrawal threshold. If your available balance is below it, continue accumulating earnings before withdrawing.
Maximising your monthly income
- Run link-based CPM slots in parallel with WhatsApp flat-rate slots - they pay out from different activities and don't compete.
- Higher creator levels unlock access to higher-budget campaigns. See Creator Levels.
- Creator Premium reduces your earnings hold period, so you can withdraw sooner. See Upgrade.
Tax
You are responsible for declaring income from UGC campaigns in your local jurisdiction. UGC does not deduct tax at source but can provide a transaction history for your records from Wallet.
